The company Tehnix delivered two municipal vehicles worth 1.8 million HRK for separate waste collection to the company “Lijepa Bistrica”, which performs communal activities in the municipality of Marija Bistrica.
The vehicles were procured as part of the project “Municipal vehicles for a more beautiful Bistrica”, and it is an universal vehicle for separate waste collection with a volume of 10 m3 and a special municipal vehicle for separate waste collection with an upgrade, type lifter.
Đuro Horvat, director of Tehnix, said that the Municipality of Marija Bistrica is a good example of responsible waste management and stressed that this is a practice that must be applied elsewhere.
– The project is transparent and conditions have been created for further cooperation with the company Tehnix. I think that in the future Marija Bistrica will be the first green city in this part of Croatia and a positive example of how to live with nature and achieve success for the benefit of all – said Horvat.
Mayor of Marija Bistrica Josip Milički expressed happiness and satisfaction with the continuity of investments in waste management in the municipality and pointed out that without the company Tehnix they would not have the strength or opportunities to start work in this sector.
The new vehicles will contribute to an increase in the share of separately collected municipal waste in the total municipal waste, which will ultimately result in a reduction in the amount of waste disposed of in landfills. At the same time, it will contribute to the systematic management of waste and the conditions for harmonization with European directives will be met.
The press conference on the delivery of the vehicle was also attended by the Deputy Director of Tehnix Željko Horvat and the President of the Municipal Council of Marija Bistrica Teodor Švaljek.
